Holidays are light and breezy at Newberry Cottage with its relaxed and peaceful atmosphere set privately back from the road and surrounded by a shady established garden. Tucked away in a quiet street, you will love this Dunsborough holiday accommodation only a 300m walk to Old Dunsborough swimming beach and boat ramp, and a 500m walk via a paved walkway to the centre of town.
This beautifully restored Dunsborough beach cottage has all the charm of days gone by, enhanced by modern comforts. Set on one level, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the wrap around verandahs enhances the cottage feel and provides both shelter, outdoor living options and character to this lovely residence. With French doorways in several rooms opening to the surrounding verandahs, the cottage has a lovely light breezy feel. In the summer months, you have the luxury of air-conditioning and ceiling fans in the living area, and in the master bedroom. In winter, the beautiful wood fire in the lounge room will add a touch of magic to your stay.
The beautifully appointed master bedroom is a spacious, light-filled retreat with a king sized bed, reverse cycle air conditioning or ceiling fan, private ensuite and direct access outdoors to the timber decked verandah.
The second guest bedroom is generous in size with a queen bed, and has direct outdoor access to the front verandah. The third bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds and both share the Federation style main bathroom with timber vanity and bath (with shower). Fresh Linen and quality bedding is provided for your stay.
The enormous outdoor decked area is the perfect place to entertain in the shade of the ancient Carob tree. A spacious outdoor dining setting, hooded gas bbq and relaxing day bed make this a well-used area any time of the day.
All linen is provided (excl. beach towels). All of our accommodation is fully self-catered, and as a courtesy we provide a basic starter pack for each stay, including: soap, toilet rolls, basic cleaning products, and some cooking essentials (oil, salt & pepper). We provide these items to help kick-start your holiday in a stress-free way, but guests are responsible for the ongoing supply of anything they should require beyond the starter pack provided.
During winter months, we provide some complimentary wood, kindling, matches and fire lighters for houses with indoor fire places. Guests requiring more wood for their stay – or wishing to use the fire outside of winter months – will need to purchase their own, available at local service stations and hardware stores.
